We discovered Sophie (or did she discover us…???) when she became a regular patient of Seb’s for intensive physiotherapy after a very nasty and complicated ankle fracture back in 2016. Despite having little respite from continual pain and finding walking difficult, Sophie still has continued with her equestrian pursuits and a rather good at it to boot! Never short of a smile, always friendly and grateful, Sophie is such a great ambassador for her sport, we couldn’t help but offer her the opportunity to join our team of professional and amatuer athletes.
Sophie Ison – Elite Therapy Sponsored Athlete
Sophie has just undergone surgery to remove a bone spur so we’re looking forward to plenty more updates from her over the winter months but here’s a snapshot of her year so far…
I ended this season short but on a high after I won the British Dressage elementary music with a great percentage.
Since October I have had another operation to my ankle to remove a bone spur from the joint which was preventing me to walk normally and was very painful, hopefully this is the last one I will be having.

As we are coming to the end of the year, I will be focusing on being able to walk properly and weight bearing on my leg as I haven’t walked properly on it for over 2 years now.
This is going to be very hard work as I have been walking wrong for the past 2 years but with Seb and Elites help I am very positive about my rehabilitation.
With the help of Elite this year I have been able to qualify for the British Riding Club National Championship twice and have moved from working at novice dressage to elementary. I am hoping next year will bring more exciting things and continue to move up the ladder all with Elites help and support.
