Anna Doherty

Anna is a dedicated professional who brings a wealth of experience to her role at Elite since joining in 2022 after graduating from Coventry University with a BSc in Sports Therapy. In addition to her work at Elite, she is an integral part of the therapy team for the Coventry Blaze and GB Girls Ice Hockey.

Her passion for therapy stems from a personal experience as a teenager, where she received therapy from physiotherapists and occupational therapists after an illness left her temporarily unable to walk. Inspired by their support and guidance, she pursued a career in therapy, eventually leading her to work with elite athletes in the field of ice hockey.

With 18 years of competitive ice hockey experience, including representing England and being a member of the Great Britain Women’s Ice Hockey squad, Anna has a deep understanding of the physical demands of sports and the importance of rehabilitation and injury prevention. Her background as a Personal Trainer/Sports Coach for 10 years further enhances her ability to provide comprehensive care and effective exercise prescription to her clients.

Beyond her professional achievements, Anna’s adventurous spirit has taken her to five of the seven continents, combining her love for travel with her work on various sporting events such as London to Paris and Alpine Challenge cycle events, GB Ice Hockey World Championships, and more.
